When buyers ask AI for the best in your category, are you in the answer?
CiteRank measures AI Share of Voice across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, xAI Grok and Meta AI — on real buyer-prompt panels, per vertical, against your named competitors.
A bank, a clinic and a D2C brand fail in AI for different reasons.
A bank fails on hallucinated APRs. A clinic fails on same-3-names lock-in. A D2C brand fails because Amazon absorbed the citation. The prompts, the failure modes, the competitor sets and the fixes are vertical — so CiteRank ships a separate prompt taxonomy, brand registry and benchmark panel per industry. No generic keyword list. No CDP-shaped checklists.
Pick your category. Read the failure mode.
Each cluster carries a vertical-specific buyer-prompt panel, a brand registry and a citation tracker. Tap a card to open the hero vertical for that cluster.
CPG
Ingredient-led prompts now decide which serum, food or shampoo gets named.
Marketplaces and listicles absorb the citation your brand earned.
Retail
AI is the new 'where should I buy this?' layer — and it rarely says your D2C site.
Amazon/Flipkart/Myntra cited in place of your own store.
Finance
Hallucinated rates, APRs and exclusions are now a compliance exposure.
Aggregators win the comparison prompt; your product pages get skipped.
Healthcare
Patient prompts route to a handful of names per city — accreditation lives in the citation.
Same-3-clinics lock-in and missing entity hygiene for doctors and devices.
Travel
Itinerary and direct-booking prompts compose answers from sources you don't own.
OTAs are cited as the booking surface, even when you're the brand named.
Software
Training data ships with incumbent lock-in. New tools have to earn a seat at the prompt.
G2 and listicles take the citation on every 'best tool for X' query.
Agencies
Two fights at once: your own AI visibility, and a sellable AI-visibility offering.
Clutch / GoodFirms / 'top 10 in {city}' listicles absorb the citation.
Multi-Location
Neighbourhood prompts go through Zomato, Practo and Urban Company — not your map pin.
The flagship is cited, the other 23 outlets aren't. Hours and prices hallucinate.
Education
'Best college / app for X' is decided inside an AI answer before a brochure opens.
Shiksha, Collegedunia and CareerWise absorb admissions-funnel intent.
The deliverable executives now ask for.
Six capabilities. One report your CMO can read.
Are you in the answer? Tracked across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, xAI Grok and Meta AI.
Generative Engine Optimization — the schema, llms.txt and entity hygiene engines need to cite you.
Who gets named on category, comparison and 'is it safe to buy from' prompts.
Which sources the engines actually quote — yours, the marketplace, or a 2021 forum post.
Replayed prompt panels per vertical so you can read share of voice against named competitors.
Weekly trend lines per engine, per prompt cluster, per location — not vanity rank averages.
Every vertical in the blueprint.
Verticals without a completed bench run show illustrative panels and are flagged as such on the page.
What does 'AI Share of Voice' actually measure?
For a defined panel of buyer prompts in your vertical, we replay each prompt across the named engines and count how often each brand is mentioned, cited or linked. Your AI Share of Voice is your portion of those mentions — by engine, by prompt cluster, and over time.
How is this different from a Google rank tracker?
Rank trackers ask 'are we in the top 10 blue links for keyword X?'. CiteRank asks 'when a real buyer asks ChatGPT or Gemini the question they actually type, do we get named?'. The prompts, the engines and the citation surface are different — and the fixes are different too.
Which engines do you cover?
ChatGPT (web + GPT-search), Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, xAI Grok and Meta AI. We add engines when they show consequential commercial intent — not for novelty.
Are the vertical benchmarks live yet?
We are running citerank-bench across the 24 verticals in waves. Verticals with a completed bench run carry a 'benchmark live' badge; everything else shows an illustrative panel labeled as such. We do not pass synthetic numbers off as benchmarks.
Do you track hallucinated facts (rates, dosages, prices)?
Yes. For regulated categories (banking, insurance, pharma, GLP-1) we flag wrong-answer events on a defined claim set so compliance and marketing see them on the same dashboard.
Can you handle multi-location brands?
Yes — per-outlet entity hygiene and per-city prompt panels are built in. The flagship and the 23 other outlets get separate share-of-voice readings.
Where do the prompts come from?
Each vertical has a buyer-prompt taxonomy curated from real sales calls, support transcripts and search-suggest data — not a generated keyword list. You can add your own prompts to any panel.
What does an engagement look like?
Step 1: pick your vertical and competitor set. Step 2: we run the bench panel and ship a Visibility Report. Step 3: we open the GEO backlog — entity, schema, llms.txt, content — and re-bench monthly.
Do you offer a sample report?
Yes. Use the sample report below or request a private bench for your brand from the contact page.
