Analysis metrics

Analysis turns captured answers into comparable measures. Every metric below is derived from monitoring runs and carries the replay count and confidence level of the data behind it.

AI Visibility

Available

AI Visibility is the headline measure: how present your brand is across the monitored prompt set and engines, weighted by intent bucket. It answers "when buyers ask, how often do we exist in the answer?"

  • Computed per engine, then combined using published intent weightings.
  • Presence includes any named mention, whether or not it is a recommendation.
  • Reported alongside confidence; a score without its sample size is not meaningful.

The full weighting model is published on the methodology page.

Recommendation Share

Available

Being mentioned is not the same as being recommended. Recommendation Share measures how often your brand appears as an endorsed option — named as a suggested choice — versus how often competitors take that position in the same answers.

  • Scoped to prompts with genuine recommendation intent.
  • Expressed as your share of recommendation slots across the tracked set.
  • Rising visibility with flat recommendation share usually indicates a positioning problem, not a coverage problem.

Citation Share

Available

Citation Share measures how often your own domains appear among the sources an engine cites when answering a monitored prompt — the supply side of visibility.

  • Counted per prompt and per engine on the latest captured citations from monitoring runs.
  • Own-domain citations are separated from third-party citations that mention you.
  • A low citation share with a high visibility score means engines describe you using someone else's sources.

Citation Intelligence

Available

Citation Intelligence looks at the full source set rather than just your share of it: which domains engines lean on in your category, how concentrated that set is, and where your brand is absent from sources that are otherwise influential.

  • Source domain ranking across the monitored prompt set.
  • Gap detection — influential sources that never mention your brand.
  • Engine skew — where a source carries weight on one engine but not others.
CiteRank observes which sources engines cite. It does not edit engine answers or guarantee that a source will be cited after a change.

Entity Intelligence

Available

Entity Intelligence covers how AI systems represent your brand as an entity: the aliases they use, the attributes they attach, the categories they place you in and the other entities they associate you with.

  • Alias and name-variant recognition, including former and legal names.
  • Ambiguity detection where a similarly named entity is confused with yours.
  • Attribute review — claims about pricing, location, ownership or capability.
  • Relationship mapping between your brand, products, executives and categories.
