Data handling

Monitoring data consists of prompts you configure, the answers engines return, the entities and citations extracted from those answers, and run metadata such as timestamps and confidence. Prompts are category and buyer-intent questions; they are not intended to contain personal data, and you should not place personal data in them.

• Account data — names, work email addresses and roles of your users.
• Configuration data — brands, aliases, competitors and prompt sets.
• Measurement data — captured answers, extracted entities, citation sources, run metadata.
• Product telemetry — feature usage used to operate and improve the service.

Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Access by CiteRank personnel is restricted to what is required to operate the service and is logged. Measurement data is never sold, and your configuration and results are not used to train third-party models.

• Retention — measurement data is retained for the life of the workspace so trends remain comparable; custom retention windows are configurable on enterprise agreements.
• Deletion — deleting a workspace removes its configuration and measurement data; backups age out on the standard backup cycle.
• Subprocessors — AI engine providers process the prompts sent during monitoring runs.
• Regional data residency is available on enterprise agreements; contact sales to confirm a region before signing.
